BANDIPORA: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri and as part of ongoing efforts to promote skill development and entrepreneurship among youth, a one-day capacity building for entrepreneurship mela was organised today at ITI Bandipora under Mission YUVA.
The event, organized by the Employment department Bandipora, in collaboration with the Skill Development department, focused on skilling and entrepreneurship, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, trainees, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
A speech competition on the theme of ‘Entrepreneurship and Technology’ was held, during which participants shared innovative ideas. Winners of the competition were felicitated on the occasion.
As part of the capacity-building effort, a hands-on training session was conducted on Canva, Excel, and PowerPoint, enabling participants to acquire essential digital skills. A live demonstration of the Mission YUVA app was also held to guide youth on skilling modules, loan application processes, and registration procedures.
An insightful session on entrepreneurship development and JK Startup Policy was conducted by the JKEDI Nodal Officer, providing clarity on various schemes and support systems available for budding entrepreneurs.
Various departments, particularly the Skill Development department had set up stalls exhibiting student innovations, vocational training models, and skill-based learning programmes. These stalls attracted considerable attention and provided valuable information to the visitors.
The programme served as a dynamic platform to motivate youth toward self-employment and entrepreneurial ventures and further the objectives of Mission YUVA.
