RAJOURI: Students of International School Rajouri delivered a stellar performance at the UT-level National Youth Festival held on 29 November 2025 at the Convention Centre, Jammu.
The school’s folk dance troupe captivated the audience with a vibrant and culturally rich presentation, securing the First Prize in Folk Dance and bringing honour to the institution.
The achievement aligns with Jammu & Kashmir’s renewed focus on youth empowerment and cultural promotion. The UT-level Youth Festival is an important part of the national youth initiative facilitated by the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports (YSS) J&K, which coordinates talent identification and prepares young achievers for national competitions.

The festival followed a two-step selection path—beginning at the district level and culminating at the UT level—where participants from across J&K showcased their skills in categories including folk dance, folk song, painting, poetry, declamation, story writing, innovation, and other creative arts.
By emerging victorious in the folk dance category, students of International School Rajouri highlighted not only their school’s commitment to excellence but also the rich cultural spirit and artistic potential of the region’s youth. Platforms like the National Youth Festival continue to nurture young talent, encourage creativity, and inspire confidence among budding performers.
School authorities extended heartfelt congratulations to the winning team, praising their hard work, discipline, and coordination. The victory has sparked enthusiasm across the campus, motivating other students to pursue excellence in their respective fields.
With this UT-level success, the folk dance team now looks forward to representing Jammu & Kashmir on larger national cultural stages in the near future.
