KATHUA: The ongoing Kathua Football League 2026, a flagship youth engagement initiative of the District Administration Kathua under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, witnessed two exciting encounters today at the Sports Ground, GDC Kathua, with young footballers showcasing skill, discipline and sporting spirit.
In the first match, Sunday FC registered a commanding 6-0 victory over Kharote FC. Sushant emerged as the star performer with a hat-trick, while Amit Malhotra scored twice and Raghuvir Singh added one goal.
In the second match, Hiranagar FC secured a 5-0 win over Chandwan FC. Lalit scored two goals, while Aryan, Aniket and Dhruv contributed one goal each.
The District Administration Kathua is using the football league as a vibrant platform for positive youth engagement, fitness, teamwork and discipline, reinforcing the message of the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan and encouraging youngsters to adopt healthy and constructive lifestyles.
Tomorrow, the Kathua Football League 2026 will witness two exciting encounters with DPS FC taking on Khelo India followed by FC UK facing Shadow Strikers.
The league featuring 12 participating teams continues to provide local youth with opportunities to channel their energy towards sports while strengthening the collective resolve for a Nasha Mukt Kathua.
