JAMMU: Heritage School organised an inspiring motivational session for students of Classes IX to XII featuring its distinguished alumnus, Agastya Bajaj (Batch 2020–21), who is presently in the final year of MBBS at Grant Government Medical College & Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai.
The programme opened with a warm welcome by Vice Principal Rasmi Thakur, who fondly greeted Agastya back to his “second home”. She described him as a true reflection of the school’s core values—excellence, discipline, dedication and holistic development.
During his school tenure, Agastya excelled academically while actively participating in a wide range of co-curricular activities. A recipient of the prestigious Academic Blazer, he was one of the highest achievers in Class X and XII Board Examinations, securing 96.6% in Class XII and earning an All India Rank 1596 in NEET with 99.88 percentile.
Addressing the students, Agastya spoke passionately about his journey that began at Heritage School in 2013. He shared how his school experiences, challenges and enduring friendships shaped his personality and strengthened his resolve to pursue medicine. Encouraging students to cherish their school years, he remarked, “The weight of your school bag is the lightest weight you will ever carry in life.” He urged them to avoid unnecessary stress, focus on all-round development and embrace every phase of learning.
An engaging interactive session followed, with students asking questions about coping with pressure, time management, preparing for Board exams, choosing career paths and balancing academics with extracurricular activities. Agastya responded with warmth and sincerity, sharing practical strategies and motivating students to remain consistent, confident and curious.
The event concluded with an address by Principal Akash Pradhan, who expressed immense pride in Agastya’s achievements and appreciated his journey of hard work, perseverance and purpose. He encouraged students to emulate his dedication and uphold the values of the school.
The session left students deeply inspired, reinforcing the belief that positivity, passion and persistent effort are the real pillars of success.
