BUDGAM: A series of patriotic activities were held today across various educational institutions and public offices in district Budgam as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, being celebrated under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
These events were organized under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, aimed at fostering a spirit of nationalism and deepening the emotional connect of citizens with the Indian national flag.
All departments, educational institutions, and local bodies have been actively mobilized to ensure widespread awareness and community involvement.
The day witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and community members in flag hoisting ceremonies, cultural programs, awareness rallies, and painting competitions. Special focus was laid on educating students about the significance of the national flag and the Flag Code of India, ensuring they understand the correct ways of displaying the Tiranga.
At various Government schools across the district, including Government Higher Secondary School Kanir, students showcased handmade tricolour-themed artwork and participated in engaging patriotic song competitions. The school premises were decorated with flags and banners echoing national pride.
The Municipal Council building and Clock Tower in Budgam town were beautifully illuminated in the colours of the national flag, creating a vibrant ambiance and drawing public attention towards the importance of the campaign.
District administration also appreciated the efforts of schools, government departments, local bodies, and community stakeholders for their proactive role in spreading awareness and encouraging public participation.
The campaign continues to gain momentum in Budgam, as students, citizens come together to honour the Tricolour and reaffirm their commitment to the ideals of the nation.
