DODA: Government Dy SP Aman Thakur Memorial Degree College Kastigarh today organised a Tiranga Rally followed by a cleanliness drive at Nagri Water Spring as part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The event was held under the guidance of Principal Prof Koushal Kumar Manhas with active participation from faculty, staff and students.
The rally saw participants carrying the national flag and chanting slogans under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan. It aimed to inspire community participation in nation-building.
At Nagri Water Spring, participants conducted a large-scale cleanliness drive to maintain hygiene, prevent water pollution and promote environmental conservation. The activity also aimed to instill dignity of labour among students and raise awareness on waste management.
The Principal commended the participants for blending patriotism with environmental responsibility. The programme was coordinated by Dr Sunil Kotwal with support from Prof Sat Pal, Dr Arien Singh and Dr Anurama Lata and concluded with a pledge to continue such initiatives regularly.
