BUDGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today visited Mata Vasuki Nag Temple at Wagam and Anand Dham Ashram at Hushroo in Chadoora to take stock of arrangements for the annual Hawan programme being held at these religious places.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the arrangements put in place by the concerned departments and local committees for the smooth conduct of the annual religious programme. He took stock of facilities being provided to devotees, including basic amenities and other necessary arrangements.
The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with devotees, members of the Kashmiri Pandit community and local residents, who apprised him of various requirements related to the conduct of the programme and facilities for pilgrims. He assured the devotees and organisers that the District Administration would extend all necessary support for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the annual Hawan programme.
The DC also appreciated the efforts of the local community for its support to concerned departments ensuring seamless arrangements for conduct of annual religious programme.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with local delegations and community members and listened to their demands. He assured them that genuine issues would be examined on priority and directed the concerned officers to take necessary follow-up action for their timely redressal.
