JAMMU: J P World School recently hosted an engaging talk show featuring two distinguished personalities from the Indian film industry —Rahat Shah Kazmi, acclaimed producer and director, and Tahir Khan, noted producer, actor, and director.
Rahat Shah Kazmi, winner of over fifty international awards, including the Best Director Award at BAFTA by the UK Asian Film Festival (2017) for his film Mantostaan, and nominated for Best Director at the Bollywood ITA Awards (2022) for Lihaaf, shared his inspiring journey and creative insights with the students.
Tahir Khan, known for his acclaimed films Mantostaan, Identity Card, Side A & Side B, and Lihaaf, interacted with students, providing valuable guidance on exploring diverse career avenues within the film and media industry.
The interactive session offered students a unique opportunity to engage directly with leading professionals, helping them understand the challenges, skills, and dedication required to succeed in creative fields. Both guests emphasized the importance of holistic development and encouraged students to actively participate in co-curricular activities as part of personal and professional growth.
Principal Aparana Kohli highlighted that hosting such interactive talk shows fortnightly has become an integral part of the school’s academic schedule. She added that inviting eminent personalities from varied fields enables students to gain practical exposure, broaden their perspectives, and make informed career choices.
