JAMMU: The much-awaited Dandiya Night 2025 lit up the campus of J.P. World School on Thursday with vibrant colours, music, and joy, bringing together students, parents, and the wider community in a spirited celebration of Navratri.
The evening witnessed a gathering of over 500 participants, making it one of the most memorable cultural events of the year.
The event was graced by the presence of Bashir Ahmed Munshi, Additional District and Sessions Judge, as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Mrs. and Ashok Manhas and members of the school management. Their presence and encouragement added dignity to the festive occasion. Adding further charm, several social media influencers and public figures also joined, amplifying the energy of the night.
The celebrations began with a welcome address, Ravan Dahan, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and felicitation of dignitaries. A cultural extravaganza followed, featuring a dance act by a professional troupe, high-energy student performances, and a delightful fancy dress competition-cum-modelling show by the school’s youngest learners.
The highlight of the evening was the much-awaited fashion show, Sabhyata Season 3, with Mehak Mahajan and Ashish Gupta walking as showstoppers. As the night progressed, the grounds echoed with the rhythm of spirited Dandiya rounds, where guests, parents, and students danced together in festive harmony.
Adding to the festive buzz, a variety of food, shopping, and game stalls kept visitors engaged, turning the campus into a lively fairground.
On this occasion, Chairperson Dr. Panna Manhas Choudhary emphasized the importance of celebrating traditions while fostering unity, joy, and cultural pride. Principal Aparna Kohli used the platform to deliver strong social messages, highlighting breast cancer awareness in October and urging students and parents to say no to drugs while prioritizing health and well-being.
The evening concluded with dazzling community Dandiya rounds, symbolizing joy, togetherness, and cultural pride. Dandiya Night 2025 will be remembered not only as a grand cultural fest but also as a platform that beautifully blended festivity with meaningful social messages.
