JAMMU: Reaffirming their commitment to community welfare, J&K Bank Officers and Employees, in collaboration with senior officials and federations, organised a flood relief distribution drive in Jammu today.
The initiative was led by Divisional Head Ashok Gupta and Zonal Head Anita Nehru, along with office bearers of the All India J&K Bank Officers Federation (AIJKBOF) — Com. Kapil Nanda (President) and Com. Anil Sharma (Vice President) — as well as Com. Ashish Mahajan (President) and Com. Sunil Bhau (General Secretary) of JKBOA Jammu.
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu Rakesh Minhas, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ansuya Jamwal, members of the local administration, and MLA Yudhvir Sethi.
As part of the drive, around 300 household relief kits were distributed among flood-affected families in Peerkho and Rajiv Nagar areas of Jammu.
The dignitaries present lauded the initiative, praising the dedicated efforts of J&K Bank staff and the Bank’s leadership for extending timely support, not only through CSR initiatives but also via personal contributions from staff salaries.
On the occasion, AIJKBOF expressed gratitude to Amitava Chatterjee, MD of J&K Bank, for launching and coordinating CSR-led relief measures.
The Federation assured that such initiatives will continue, reflecting the Bank staff’s solidarity with communities in distress and their commitment to providing relief and comfort to affected families.
