BARAMULLA: The district-level round of Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2027 was organised today at Government Degree College (Boys), Baramulla, with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr. S.F. Hamid, attending the programme as the Chief Guest.
The programme commenced with the National Song, followed by the National Anthem, setting a patriotic tone for the event.
At the outset, the District Youth Officer MY Bharat Baramulla, Srijan Singh, highlighted the objectives of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament initiative and encouraged participants to make the most of the platform to express their ideas and perspectives on matters of national importance.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of youth participation in nation-building and encouraged students to develop leadership qualities, critical thinking and a sense of responsibility towards society.
He emphasised that the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 can be realised through the active involvement of educated, empowered and responsible youth.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who presented their views and engaged in discussions on matters of national importance.
Faculty members, students and other concerned persons were also present during the programme.
The programme provided an opportunity for young participants to enhance their public speaking skills, understand parliamentary procedures and contribute to constructive democratic dialogue.
