KISHTWAR: The district administration Kishtwar, in collaboration with the Directorate of Industries and Commerce Jammu, today organized a comprehensive capacity-building workshop on the implementation of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (PMGS-NMP) here in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.
Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma presided over the event, attended by ADC Pawan Kotwal, PO ICDS Rishi Kumar Sharma, CEO KDA Kaiser Bhawani, ACR Idrees Lone, GM DIC Mohsin Raza, ACD Manoj Kumar, ACP Neeraj Sharma, DSWO Tariq Parveaz Qazi, CAO Kushal Chandel, DNO AYUSH Dr. Vikram Singh Jamwal besides other District officers and staff from various other departments.
The workshop focused on fostering integrated infrastructure development, strengthening multi-modal connectivity and ensuring better synergy among line departments for speedy and result-oriented execution of projects in the district.
In the course of the session, the Technical Officer of PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan Santosh Kumar Rai gave a detailed demonstration of the PM Gati Shakti portal and apprised the participants about its key components, functionalities and the mechanism for feeding and managing data on the platform.
The deliberations laid emphasis on orienting the officers with GIS-enabled spatial planning instruments, unified digital data ecosystems and geo-tagged mapping of infrastructure under the PM Gati Shakti architecture. The need for seamless sharing of departmental datasets, detection of infrastructural deficiencies, prevention of overlapping of works, augmentation of last-mile linkages and synchronized planning of roads, utilities and other public assets was discussed at length.
The participants were further sensitized to the significance of technology-led and data-backed planning for effective prioritization, supervision and accomplishment of developmental initiatives.
The session underlined that sincere adoption of the PM Gati Shakti paradigm would pave the way for whole-of-government convergence, optimal resource utilization, accelerated project delivery, enhanced connectivity and improved transparency in infrastructure creation.
The officers and stakeholders were directed to ensure regular and timely updation of relevant data and to sustain close inter-departmental liaison for aligning district-level projects with the vision of the National Master Plan.
