POONCH: General Officer Commanding (GOC) White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General P.K. Mishra, on Tuesday visited operational locations in the Surankote sector of Poonch district to review the prevailing security posture and ongoing focused counter-terrorism operations in the area.
Lieutenant General Mishra was accompanied by the GOC Romeo Force during the visit. He was briefed on ongoing operations aimed at maintaining domination of the Pir Panjal Range, the robust intelligence network in place and the seamless coordination among all security agencies operating in the region.
The Corps Commander commended the professional conduct and unwavering commitment of all stakeholders involved in the security operations and lauded their sustained efforts to deny inimical elements any operational space in the area.
He also appreciated the relentless operational focus of the forces despite the challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions prevailing in the Pir Panjal region.
