REASI: District Development Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today chaired a meeting to review the progress of development works being executed under the NABARD Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) in the district.
During the meeting, a detailed work-wise status of NABARD RIDF projects being executed by the PWD (R&B) was presented. The meeting reviewed the physical and financial progress of ongoing and completed works, with particular emphasis on road connectivity and bridge infrastructure.
The DDC took a detailed review of ongoing works and assessed the issues affecting their progress, including pending forest clearances, land and alignment disputes and other site-related impediments. He directed the concerned officers to closely monitor the projects and take all necessary measures to resolve bottlenecks and ensure their timely completion.
He further directed the officers to submit the Project Completion Reports (PCRs) of all completed works to the concerned agencies without delay.
The meeting also reviewed works proposed for foreclosure and stressed the importance of effective inter-departmental coordination for the proper implementation of NABARD-funded projects. The DDC directed the concerned officers to accord priority to newly approved projects requiring pre-execution formalities and ensure their expeditious processing.
Emphasising the importance of improved road connectivity and infrastructure development for the people of the district, the DDC directed that all ongoing works be executed in strict adherence to prescribed quality standards and timelines.
Superintending Engineer, PWD; Chief Planning Officer; Executive Engineer, PWD and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
