SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat on Wednesday conducted an operational review of Temporary Operating Bases established on the northern face of the Pir Panjal range, officials said.
The DGP was accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V.K. Birdi, Rajiv Pandey, Hariprasad K.K., SSP Budgam and other members of the police team during the visit.
The senior officers reviewed operational preparedness, deployment arrangements and security measures at the Temporary Operating Bases located in the strategically important area.
The review focused on strengthening field-level coordination, improving operational readiness and assessing security mechanisms in the difficult terrain.
Officials said the DGP also took stock of challenges being faced by personnel deployed at the bases and reviewed measures aimed at ensuring sustained vigilance and effective security operations.
Prabhat interacted with officers and personnel on the ground and discussed steps to further strengthen operational capabilities in the region.
The visit assumes significance amid continuing efforts by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security agencies to reinforce their presence and preparedness in vulnerable and strategically sensitive areas of the Union Territory.
