NEW DELHI: The Indian cricket team defeated England by six runs in the fifth and final Test in London to tie the five-match series 2-2.
It was India’s narrowest victory by runs in Test cricket history. Their previous narrowest victory had come against Australia in Mumbai in 2004, when Team Blue won by 14 runs.
Pacer Mohammed Siraj emerges a hero for India with a match haul of nine wickets, including five in the second innings.
“I always believe in myself, that I can pull off a win from any situation,” said Siraj after a match-winning performance in the fifth Test against England.
