JAMMU: Brave K9 trooper Tyson of the Indian Army’s 2 Para Special Forces was injured during a counter-terror operation in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir.
The elite German Shepherd was the first to charge towards a terrorist hideout (dhok) during the operation. Amid intense firing, Tyson sustained a bullet injury but continued advancing towards the target, displaying exceptional courage and unwavering loyalty.
Following the incident, Tyson was immediately airlifted for urgent medical treatment. Officials said he is currently safe and stable after receiving prompt care.
The operation in the Chatroo area is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to neutralise terrorist threats in the region.
