JAMMU: MIER College of Education celebrated National Integration Week (19–25 November 2025) with a series of engaging activities that highlighted the values of unity, cultural harmony, and national pride. Students from the School of Education (SoE) and the School of Social Sciences & Humanities (SSSH) participated enthusiastically, making the observance both vibrant and impactful.
The week began with an on-the-spot Poster Making Competition on the theme “Unity in Diversity: One Nation, One Spirit”, held in the College Multipurpose Hall. Thirteen students showcased thoughtful and creative artwork reflecting India’s multicultural heritage.
- Pallavi Sharma (B.Ed. 1st Sem) secured the first prize.
- Kaisy (B.Ed. 3rd Sem) and Prarish (B.A. (Hons.) Psychology 1st Sem) won the second and third prizes respectively.
- Simran (B.Ed. 1st Sem) received the consolation prize.
On 20 November, NSS volunteers carried the message of national unity beyond the campus by hosting a Cultural Programme on National Integration at Government Middle School, Jinder Khurd, the college’s adopted village under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. With 47 participants, the event featured patriotic songs, dances, and skits performed jointly by village students and NSS volunteers, creating an inspiring atmosphere of harmony and collective identity.
The week-long observance concluded on 24 November with a National Integration Pledge Ceremony on campus, where faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students renewed their commitment to safeguarding the nation’s unity and integrity.
Prof. Adit Gupta, Principal, MIER College of Education, applauded the efforts of the NSS Unit and appreciated the volunteers for their enthusiastic participation in both campus activities and outreach initiatives.
The events were organised under the leadership of Dr. Komal Sharma (NSS Programme Officer) and Ayushi Grover (Member, NSS Unit).
National Integration Week 2025 at MIER College of Education successfully reinforced among students the ideals of unity, cultural cohesiveness, and patriotism—emphasising that India’s greatest strength lies in its diversity and shared national spirit.
