JAMMU: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Mithun Manhas on Saturday called on Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhawan, officials said.
“Mithun Manhas, President, the Board of Control for Cricket in India, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at the Lok Bhawan,” an official spokesman said. No further details of the meeting were disclosed.
Manhas, who hails from Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, was elected unopposed as the 37th BCCI president in September 2025, becoming the first former first-class cricketer to head the Board in several years.
A prolific domestic cricketer, Manhas represented Delhi from the 1997-98 to 2016-17 season, featuring in 157 first-class matches and scoring 9,714 runs. He also played 130 List A matches, accumulating 4,126 runs during his career.
His meeting with the Lieutenant Governor comes as Manhas continues in his role at the helm of Indian cricket, with Jammu and Kashmir remaining an important part of his sporting background.
