LPM Quiz held at SKUAST-K to commemorate 42nd ISAPM Foundation Day

SRINAGAR: Division of Livestock Production Management (LPM) celebrated 42nd Foundation Day of the Indian Society of Animal Production and Management (ISAPM), a prominent nationwide conglomerate of animal science professionals, researchers, and scholars, today at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (FVSc&AH) of the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) in collaboration with the Art and Craft Club of FVSc&AH.

Prof. Shayaib Ahmad Kamil, Former Dean of FVSc&AH graced the occasion as chief guest. He appreciated the efforts of the division in organizing such events for the benefit of students.

Earlier Prof. I. U. Sheikh, Head, Division of LPM briefed about the importance of celebrating the ISAPM Foundation Day.

On the occasion a quiz session on the subject of LPM was also organized under the aegis of ISAPM which was coordinated by Dr. Henna Hamadani, Assistant Professor, Division of LPM and Coordinator, Art & Craft Club.

A quiz competition was held among the five teams namely Team Kashmir Anz, Team Kashmir Merino, Team Hangul, Team Pashmina and Team Kashmir Favorella. The teams were named after the local animal germplasm of Jammu and Kashmir to inspire students towards the subject.

At the end of a thrilling competition, Team Pashmina, Team Hangul and Team Kashmir Anz bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

The programme was attended by Prof. Hilal Musadiq Khan, Professor, Division of LPM, other faculty members and students.
