DC Kulgam chairs DLIC meet, approves 53 cases under PMAY-U 2.0

KULGAM: A district level Implimentation committee (DLIC) meet was today held to review the implementation and progress under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)-U 2.0 in the urban areas of district Kulgam here in the meeting hall of Mini-Secretariat Kulgam.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, who is also the chairman of the said committee.

At the outset, the chairman took a detailed appraisal of the implementation of PMAY-U 2.0 scheme in all the four Municipal Committees of the district.

With regard to the target achieved under Beneficiary Led Individual House Construction (BLC), the meeting was informed that a total of 721 applications have been received for construction of houses under PMAY-U 2.0, out of which 173 cases have been approved in last DLIC and 53 new cases were approved in today's meeting.

During the meeting, the DC stressed upon officers of ULB to identify the eligible cases under Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) in Kulgam town as well.

DC directed the concerned officers to ensure that the scheme guidelines are followed in letter and spirit so that all genuine eligible beneficiaries are covered under the PMAY-U 2.0 scheme in the urban areas of district.

He impressed upon the field functionaries to follow the robust mechanism already put in place to ensure immediate verification and processing of cases at each stage of construction and consequent disbursement of payments to the verified beneficiaries under the scheme.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Reyaz Ahmad Shah; Tehsildars of Kulgam, Yaripora, Frisal and Devsar, EOs of MC'S, DSEO, District Coordinator PMAY-U 2.0 and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
