KVK Bandipora-1 organizes training/awareness programme for rural youth

BANDIPORA: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bandipora-1, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Association of Social Workers (JKASW), successfully organized a one-day training-cum-awareness programme aimed at empowering rural youth, with a special focus on young girls.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 75 rural girls, highlighting a growing interest in entrepreneurship and agricultural innovation among the youth of the region.

As part of the practical exposure, the participants were taken to various demonstration plots maintained by KVK. These included Lotus cultivation, Watermelon and assorted vegetable plots, Fruit nursery, Hi-tech greenhouse, Paddy seed production plots.

The field visit aimed to provide hands-on experience and inspire participants to explore innovative agricultural practices as potential career avenues.

The programme concluded with an interactive session, where the participants expressed keen interest in adopting various technologies and starting their own agri-based ventures.
