SAMBA: In a continued effort to combat substance abuse and promote a healthier youth community, an Awareness Programme on Drug De-Addiction was held today at Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School Samba under the banner of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The event was organised in collaboration with the District Administration and the school authorities.
Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the growing threat of drug addiction among the youth and urged students and educators alike to stay proactive in fostering awareness and resilience against this social evil.
The programme featured a series of impactful presentations by students, including powerful speeches, poetic recitations and a thought-provoking skit-all centered around the harmful consequences of drug abuse and the importance of choosing a positive drug-free life.
The event saw the participation of the Assistant Commissioner Revenue, school faculty and a large number of students. The Principal of GMBHSS Samba expressed heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries and contributors during the vote of thanks.
The programme concluded on a strong note of collective commitment to a drug-free future, encouraging everyone present to become ambassadors of change within their communities. |
