Kishtwar gears up for Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign-2025

DC reviews preparations, activity plan

KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired a review meeting to assess the preparedness for the upcoming Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025, scheduled to be held from August 2, to August 15, 2025.

The campaign will be conducted in three phases from Aug 2 to August 8, August 9 to August 12 and Aug 13 to Aug 15.

At the outset, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Kotwal shared detailed insights into the activities planned across the three phases. Events such as Rangoli Competitions, Tiranga Rakhi Making Workshops, and Tiranga Bike Rallies are scheduled to be held at different venues across the district.

In conjunction with the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, a week-long Swachhta (Cleanliness) Campaign will also be launched. Cleanliness drives will be conducted across all Panchayats in the district, with a special mega cleanliness event scheduled at the historic Chowgan Grounds, the meeting was told.

Emphasizing that it is a national campaign, the Deputy Commissioner directed all Heads of Departments (HODs) to ensure maximum public participation. He also stressed the importance of inclusive celebrations, urging everyone to participate in the campaign with unity and patriotic spirit.

Furthermore, the DC directed the stakeholder departments to organize flag hoisting ceremonies and illuminate government buildings, educational institutions, offices, bridges, hotels and key public infrastructure during the campaign period.

The ASP briefed the meeting about the security arrangements put in place to ensure a safe and smooth conduct of the campaign.

The Deputy Commissioner asked all government officials and staff to hoist the Tiranga at their respective offices and also encourage the general public to proudly display the national flag at their homes and schools.

He urged everyone to celebrate the campaign with full fervor, enthusiasm and national spirit.

The Deputy Commissioner also took a detailed review of the arrangements related to essential services and commodities including Health, PHE, PDD, Sanitation and others to ensure the smooth conduct of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.

The concerned departments were instructed to maintain a high level of preparedness and coordination, ensuring that all necessary infrastructure and support systems are in place well in advance of the campaign's commencement.

The meeting was attended by ADC Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal, ASP Kishtwar Pardeep Singh, PO ICDS Kishtwar Rishi Kumar Sharma, ACR Kishtwar Idrees lone, SDMs besides other senior officers and concerned staff.
