KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting with District and Sectoral Officers to assess the implementation of the flagship government schemes in the district.
The DC emphasized the importance of the "Ni-Kshay Mitra" initiative, directing all district officers to adopt one TB patient for six months in accordance with the guidelines.
He further directed that each government doctor will adopt at least two TB patients, reinforcing the administration's commitment to eradication and care for TB patients.
Focusing on social security and financial inclusion, the DC took review of the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Accidental Death Insurance Schemes. He instructed the JK Bank authorities to facilitate on-spot form distribution and registration for these schemes to ensure maximum citizen coverage and safeguard their financial future.
Preparations for the upcoming Tiranga Yatra and Sampoornata Abhiyan (to be held from August 2 to August 8, 2025) were also reviewed. The DC directed officials to ensure meticulous planning and active participation from all departments and stakeholders to make these initiatives successful and impactful.
A significant highlight of the meeting was the recognition of Block Marwah, which has recently earned a Silver Medal under the Aspirational Block Programme, a testament to the district's progressive strides in governance and development.
In view of the ongoing Shri Machail Mata Yatra 2025, the DC also took a detailed report from the Executive Engineer, PMGSY Paddar, regarding road connectivity and sanitation facilities in Block Paddar and other key locations. He stressed on maintaining hygiene and ensuring seamless travel for pilgrims.
The meeting was attended by ADC Pawan Kotwal, PO ICDS Rishi Kumar Sharma, CEO KDA Kaiser Bhawani, ACR Idrees Ahmed Lone besides other Senior District and Sectoral Officers.
