DC Jammu reviews defence land acquisition cases

JAMMU: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, chaired a meeting to review the status of pending and ongoing land acquisition cases pertaining to defence requirements in the district.

The meeting was attended by all Sub-Divisional Magistrates of the district, Defence Estates Officers from Jammu and Udhampur, besides other senior officers.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for coordinated efforts to ensure the timely resolution of all land acquisition issues and directed the concerned officers to expedite the processing of cases as per the prescribed guidelines. He called for close monitoring of the progress on each case and urged the officers to take proactive measures for early removal of any bottlenecks.

The Defence Estates Officers briefed the chair on specific cases, while the SDMs provided updates on the status of land records and other matters in their respective subdivisions.
