DC Samba reviews preparations for Janmashtami Mela at Narsingh Temple-Ghagwal

SAMBA: Deputy Commissioner Samba Rajesh Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting in the meeting Hall of the DC Office to assess and finalize the preparations for the upcoming Janmashtami Mela at the historic Narsingh Temple, Ghagwal.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure flawless coordination and time-bound execution of arrangements to facilitate a smooth, safe, and spiritually enriching experience for devotees and visitors. He laid special emphasis on security management, sanitation, traffic regulation, and provision of essential public amenities.

Highlighting the significance of the festival, DC Sharma underscored the importance of maintaining law and order, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene, and enabling uninterrupted vehicular movement during the Mela, which is expected to draw large crowds from across the region.

The meeting also reviewed arrangements for drinking water supply, installation of mobile toilets, setting up of medical aid stations, and deployment of adequate manpower to manage public facilitation and emergencies effectively.

Reiterating the need for seamless interdepartmental synergy, the Deputy Commissioner exhorted the stakeholders to work in close coordination with the Narsingh Temple Committee to ensure that the event is conducted in a safe, orderly, and spiritually uplifting manner.

The meeting was attended by SSP Samba, Virender Singh Manhas; ADDC Samba, Champa Devi Thakur; ACR Samba; SDM Ghagwal; senior officers of various line departments; and representatives of the Narsingh Temple Committee.
