Lays foundation stone for Block Public Health Unit in Andhrooth

NOWSHERA: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, today held a public darbar in Rajpur Kamila and Andhrooth village of Nowshera to take first hand appraisal of people's grievances and concerns.

The interactive session witnessed a significant turnout of people from various walks of life. They highlighted issues ranging from infrastructure development to basic amenities including road connectivity, water scarcity, irregular power supply, insufficient staff in schools and health centres.

The Dy CM patiently heard the concerns of the attendees and assured them of swift redressal. He instructed the concerned officials to address the genuine issues of public on priority.

Encouraged by the enthusiastic participation of public in grievances redressal camp, the Dy CM maintained that our mission is inclusive governance that reaches every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that such interactions strengthen our resolve to deliver effective, people-first governance assuring timely resolution of genuine public issues.

In an endeavour to provide basic health facilities to people living in remote areas, the Dy CM laid foundation stone for Block Public Health Unit (under HSCC Ltd.) at Andhrooth.

Reaffirming government's commitment towards hassle free connectivity to the public, the Dy CM visited the site selected for construction of motorable bridge between Andhrooth bus stand to Nowgram with an estimated cost of around Rs 2 crore. "This bridge is a testament to our government's commitment to provide better connectivity in far flung areas of J&K" he added.

He further said that it was long pending demand of the local residents and expressed satisfaction that government is proficient to fulfil their aspirations.

Surinder Choudhary exhorted that the Government is committed to improve transportation in J&K, especially in far flung and border areas. The aim is to enhance mass mobility, providing increased safety and sustainability along with greater access and convenience for commuters, he added.

He asserted that under the leadership of CM Omar Abdullah, the government is dedicated to deliver effective governance and ensuring that the public grievances are addressed on priority.

Surinder Choudhary also highlighted several key initiatives undertaken by the government. These included measures to improve road connectivity, strengthen the healthcare system and promote educational opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir.
