SHOPIAN: A zonal level programme under the banner of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, organised by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Shopian in collaboration with the District Social Welfare Officer Shopian was today held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Shopian.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from girl students and female teachers from various schools across Zone Shopian. It aimed to create awareness about the importance of girl child education and the various government interventions available under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.

Experts delivered special lectures focusing on the empowerment of girls through education and the need for societal support in ensuring equal opportunities for the girl child.

To further engage students and encourage their creativity, a series of competitions were held, including painting, essay writing, and slogan writing, all themed around Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.

The top performers in each competition were suitably awarded for their excellence and contribution.
