POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today convened a meeting to assess the measures being taken for the reopening of Mughal Road. The meeting focused on key issues regarding the clearance of snowbound areas, ensuring safe access for the general public.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Block Medical Officer and Tehsildar from Surankote joined via virtual mode to provide crucial updates related to the Mughal Road.

After a constructive discussion, the Deputy Commissioner announced that the Mughal Road would be scheduled to reopen for vehicular movement on April 10, 2025.

The meeting was attended by SSP Poonch, Shafkat Hussain, ADC Poonch,, Tahir Mustafa Malik, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, Officer Commanding GREF, ARTO, Basharat Mehmood and EO Municipality Yaqoob Choudhary, among other concerned authorities.
