Cancer Awareness Workshop held at GDC Samba

SAMBA: To promote healthy lifestyle, a workshop on cancer awareness and female wellness was organized at Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Govt Degree College (GDC), Samba in collaboration with American Oncology Institute (AOI), Jammu.

Dr. Surbhi Kudyar, Associate Consultant at AOI Breast Services, Jammu was keynote speaker.

Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal, GDC, Samba presented welcome address and underlined the importance of such healthy talks in the campus to make students and staff, especially females aware of problems and solutions to cure such kind of medical problems.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Surbhi highlighted the sedentary lifestyle of present generation which is ultimately becoming one of the chief reasons for cancer.

She stressed upon breaking down the old myths in our society regarding not even to talk about such a deadly disease and to follow a good hygiene.

The programme was planned and organized by Prof. Karan Maini, Nodal Officer, G20 Committee and Prof Shivali Gupta, Convener, First Aid Committee.

The program was attended by Dr. Shobha Gupta, Dr. Pawan Kumar Gupta, Dr. Sushma Sharma, Dipika, Dr. Vibhuti Ubbott, Prof. Sukhvinder Kaur, Prof. Purvaiya Hans and other staff members.
