RAMBAN: Three Army personnel lost their lives on Sunday after the truck they were travelling in rolled down a 600-feet gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district, near Battery Chashma.
Official sources said that the Army truck was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar when the accident occurred.
An official said, "Three Army jawans travelling in the truck died on the spot as it rolled down a 600-foot-deep gorge near Ramban on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway."
He added, "The truck was coming from the Jammu side towards Kashmir."
The deceased soldiers were identified as Amit Kumar, Sujit Kumar and Man Bhadur.
A rescue operation involving the Police, Army, SDRF, and civil QRT Ramban volunteers is underway. |
