Jodhamal Student Karman Singh Gets the British Patent for his Innovation

JAMMU: In a remarkable achievement, Karman Singh, a 10th-grade student at Jodhamal Public School, has secured a British patent for his groundbreaking invention - an innovative Smart Dustbin equipped with Monitoring and Categorized Waste Disposal.

Recognized amongst the youngest individuals globally to be awarded a patent, Karman's invention represents a leap forward in urban waste management and the government's dream for establishing smart cities in the country. Thus, Karman Singh becomes one of the youngest recipients of the British patent in India, the achievement catapulting him in a different league of innovators altogether.

Karman Singh's patented invention introduces an IoT-Integrated Waste Management System, offering a groundbreaking solution to the challenges associated with urban waste disposal. The comprehensive system combines real-time tracking of dustbin positions with automated detection of fill levels, ensuring timely waste collection and maintaining cleaner urban environments.

Karman Singh's achievement is not only a personal milestone but a representation of the dedication and hard work exhibited by Jodhamal Public School's students and faculty. It is noteworthy that Jodhamal School runs an Innovation Hub which mentors prospective scientists and innovators.

In the past also, the students of Jodhamal School have created some app-based solutions to several social problems which were recognized by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a website to bolster the government's ‘Atmanirbhar India' attempts. As Karman's invention paves the way for a cleaner and healthier urban environment, it also serves as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring young innovators globally.
