SAMBA: Government Degree College, Vijaypur under the supervision of the principal, Prof. Dr. Vandana Gupta, on Tuesday formed a Human Chain to observe World AIDS Day 2023.

To commemorate the day, Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of the college organized the event to inculcate awareness among the college students about the he gravity of the problem of HIV infection/AIDS and the preventive measures need to be adopted as responsible citizens to prevent the virus to spread.

An interactive talk was also delivered by Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Associate Professor, Education, to educate the students about AIDS and protective measures, emphasizing upon this year's theme "Let Communities Lead".

The Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Gupta encouraged the students to act as ambassadors to remove the stigmas related to HIV/AIDS from the society.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, NSS PO and Prof. Renuka Kundal, Lecturer Political Science and co-coordinated by Dr. Neelam Devi, Lecturer Hindi and Prof. Sonia Devi, Lecturer Hindi.
