DC Udhampur reviews performance of banks at DLRC & DCC meeting

Directs financial institutions to facilitate target beneficiaries

UDHAMPUR: To assess the performance of banks for the quarter ending March 2025, the District Level Review Committee cum District Consultative Committee meeting was today chaired by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai, here at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex.

The meeting was attended by GM DIC Kishore Singh Katoch, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Dr. Ashwani Hansa, and district officers from stakeholder departments.

A detailed discussion was held on several key issues, including the issuance of Kisan Credit Cards, sector-wise lending in priority and non-priority sectors, bank-wise position of deposits and advances, the district's financial inclusion plan and the implementation of the Stand-Up India Programme launched by the Prime Minister.

Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need to organize financial literacy awareness camps in coordination with various departments across all blocks of the district to ensure that maximum benefits reach the grassroots level.

She urged the bankers to proactively reach out to the stakeholders, improve credit-deposit ratio and Priority Sector lending to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the underprivileged sections of society.

The DC also instructed officials to adopt a public-friendly approach and work in close coordination to achieve the desired results at the grassroots level.
