MD HADP reviews progress under 12 key HADP projects

SRINAGAR: As part of a series of strategic review meetings being conducted to assess and accelerate the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), a high-level session was held today at the Directorate of Agriculture, Lal Mandi, Srinagar.

The meeting was chaired by Sandeep Kumar, Secretary in Agriculture Production Department and Mission Director, HADP/JKCIP.

The session focused on reviewing progress under 12 key HADP projects with the aim of enhancing field-level performance, identifying implementation challenges, and preparing for the upcoming mid-term review by the HADP Apex Committee.

Senior officers from the Agriculture Production department and its allied sectors, including representatives from Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Horticulture Planning & Marketing, and SKUASTs attended the meeting. All concerned PGMCs, PIs, and technical teams were also present.

During the deliberations, Kumar underscored the importance of timely execution, interdepartmental synergy, and result-oriented monitoring. He reiterated the vision of the UT Government to build a robust, sustainable, and market-driven Rs 1 lakh crore agri-economy in Jammu & Kashmir through the successful implementation of HADP.

He appreciated the proactive role played by the Directorate of Agriculture Kashmir and other departments, and called for greater output tracking, integration of feedback from field units, and farmer-centric delivery mechanisms to ensure that tangible benefits reach the grassroots.

Director Agriculture Kashmir, presented a detailed overview of ongoing projects, implementation milestones, and areas needing further support. He assured the department's full commitment towards achieving HADP objectives within defined timelines.

The meeting concluded with an interactive session, where officers shared field experiences, operational hurdles, and suggestions to improve delivery efficiency.

Mission Director encouraged continued momentum in this ongoing series of reviews, emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and accountability at every level of implementation.
