KULGAM: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kulgam, organised an awareness programme on environmental conservation today at Al Hilal Residential Institution, Chawalgam.

The event, held under the chairmanship of Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Chairman, DLSA Kulgam, witnessed the participation of Fozia Paul, Secretary, DLSA Kulgam; officials from DLSA, LADCs, and PLVs; staff members of the host institution; and a large number of students.

Umar Nazir, Deputy LADC and the resource person for the session, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of environmental protection. He urged everyone, especially the youth, to actively contribute towards maintaining a clean and safe environment for the well-being of society.

In her address, Secretary DLSA encouraged students to engage in plantation drives and raise awareness among the public about the significance of planting trees and preserving nature.

The programme concluded with a Plantation drive held within the premises of Al Hilal Residential Institution, which was actively participated by the Secretary DLSA, Chairman of the Institution, LADCs, and other dignitaries present.
