IRP-22nd Battalion hosts Seminar on "Maintaining Religious Harmony" at GDC Kishtwar

KISHTWAR: A Seminar on "Maintaining Religious Harmony" was today organized by IRP-22nd Battalion Kishtwar under Civic Action programme here at the conference hall of Government Degree College Kishtwar.

At the outset, Nissar Hussain Shah-SP Dy. Commandant IRP-22nd Bn. presented welcome address. Prof. Tariq Tamkeen HOD Urdu GDC Kishtwar conducted further proceedings of the programme.

Around 110 students of different educational institutions and at least 40 civil society members participated in the programme.

The students of different educational institutions presented speeches on the topic, which was competition based. Several prominent civil society members also spoke on the topic.

The College Principal Anirudh Sharma, the Chief Guest also addressed the participants. After the culmination of the programme, special prizes/certificates of participation were presented to the participating students after the Jury declared the results

Asif Hussain std. of Sem. IV of GDC Kishtwar was declared as first, Niyati Badyal of K.V School as second and Aniqa Faraz of Islamia Faridia Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar as third.

At the end of the programme, Rajesh Sharma, Sr. Superintendent of Police Commandant IRP-22nd Bn. Kishtwar presented the vote of thanks to all the participants.

The senior citizens of civil society who participated in the programme appreciated the event as a positive move towards spreading the message of religious harmony and integration of the cross section of the society.
