DODA: A series of AYUSH health and awareness camps were organized across different locations in the district on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh and the Director AYUSH J&K, Dr. Nuzhat Bashir Shah and under the supervision of District Ayush Officer (DAO) Dr. Ajay Kumar Tikoo.
A Village Health and Nutrition Day (VHND) camp was held, in collaboration with the ICDS Department at the ICDS Centre Parry Mohalla, Panchayat Khrangal, Block Gandoh, Tehsil Bhalessa. The camp included free health checkups, Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening, and distribution of free AYUSH medicines among nursing mothers, lactating mothers, and adolescent girls. Awareness on proper nutrition was also imparted. A total of 30 beneficiaries were served at the camp.
An extended OPD camp was also conducted by the staff of AHWC Malhori the other day. Patients were thoroughly examined, and free medicines were provided to those in need. The camp recorded a high turnout with a total of 187 beneficiaries receiving services.
Furthermore, an AYUSH Awareness Camp was organized at Government Middle School Seyote by the staff of AHWC Seyote. Students and staff were educated about the effectiveness of AYUSH medicines in tackling everyday health challenges, with special emphasis on personal hygiene and nutrition. A total of 120 individuals participated in the camp.
