BHADERWAH: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutyal chaired a review meeting today to assess and streamline preparations for the upcoming Kailash Yatra 2025.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Superintendent of Police, Divisional Forest Officer, BDO, Executive Officer Municipal Committee, AEE Jal Shakti, AEE JPDCL and the representatives from Langer committees and religious trusts including President Kailash Sewa Sangh Trust, President Kumar Langer Ganthak, President Ramtund Chobia Langer, Hayan Rishi Dal, Anapurna Langer Rishi Dal, Ashapati Kailash Sewa Simiti and Vasuki Sewa Sangh Chubia.
The ADC emphasized the importance of cleanliness and environmental sustainability during the yatra. He urged all stakeholders to keep the Langer sites and yatra routes free from plastic waste. Coordination between the Forest Department, BDO, Municipal Committee and Langer Committees was stressed to ensure timely collection and disposal of plastic waste before, during, and after the yatra.
Key directives were issued including the repair of water supply schemes from Kailash Kund to Hayan, installation of water taps at campsites, tendering for firewood supply and repair works of damaged electric poles, wires and DG sets by JPDCL. The BDA was instructed to repair sheds and toilets at Kailash Kund and Hayan.
The BMO was asked to ensure the availability of two stationary medical teams and oxygen cylinders, along with a mobile medical unit to accompany the yatra from the Kellar side. For security, ASP Bhadarwah will deploy a dedicated force at Kailash Kund and Hayan.
The ADC directed all concerned departments and stakeholders to ensure that the required arrangements are completed in all respects by 10th August 2025 to facilitate the smooth and successful conduct of the yatra. |
