DC joins devotees during religious procession

POONCH: In a spiritually vibrant atmosphere, the Trishul Yatra was held today from Nav Grah Mandir, Ajote, drawing hundreds of devotees, cultural performers and dignitaries, highlighting the region's rich heritage and deep-rooted devotion.

Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik, Tehsildar Haveli Azhar Majid, and officers from the Indian Army, actively participated in the yatra and performed the sacred Trishul Pujan. Devotees gathered in large numbers during the early morning hours to offer prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.

Amidst the chanting of hymns and traditional rituals, the religious procession passed through culturally significant areas including Ajote, Purani Poonch, Kha Khanawan, Jernally Mohalla, and Qila Bazar. Flower-adorned tridents and religious flags carried by devotees added to the spiritual fervor, with devotional songs echoing through the streets.

The Trishul Yatra concluded at the College Ground in Poonch, designated as the base camp for Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra.

The venue witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of participants and devotees, turning the event into a vibrant celebration of faith and unity.
