Jammu-Srinagar highway open to traffic despite rains

RAMBAN: Amid heavy rains in the Ramban-Banihal sector of NH-44 in particular, and inclement weather prevailing across Jammu and Kashmir in general, traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is plying normally. Both convoys of the Shri Amarnath Yatra are moving through Ramban district towards Pahalgam and Baltal as usual, officials said.

According to an official, "there are rains in Ramban Banihal sector of NH 44." Adding that "Highway remains open for traffic amid heavy rains."

The official further said that "Both convoys of Shri Amarnath Yatra are moving normally through Ramban district towards Phalgham and Baltal."
