JAMMU: In a grand ceremony at Dharamshala, held under 41st Assembly of Inner Wheel District 307 ‘Kshitij... Ek Nayi Udaan', the chief guest, International Inner Wheel's 50th Association President, Jyoti Mahipal declared Priti Khajuria as new District Chairman by wearing her a Collar.
With this, Priti has become second lady in J&K to acquire this position as the first one was achieved in 1992.
More than 300 members from Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana, Goraya, Phagwara, Pathankot, Batala, Hoshiarpur, Tarn Taran, Jalandhar, Damtal, Kapurthala-Punjab, Una, Palampur, Dharamshala, Chamba, Kangra, Nurpur-Himachal Pradesh and Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua-J&K participated in the ceremony.
Priti along with her newly elected team members were also felicitated by pinning lapel pins on them.
She pledged to carry forward the values of Inner Wheel-service, dialogue and empowerment.
Priti also said that for 41 years, her district has been a symbol of friendship and service and is changing lives through impactful projects in education, healthcare and women empowerment.
On this occasion, Inner Wheel Udhampur announced their first project of the year, ‘Meri Kitab', through Association President Jyoti Mahipal, in which Inner Wheel Udhampur will distribute 5000 copies in schools of Udhampur.
In the end, Priti Khajuria thanked the chief guest, Association President Jyoti Mahipal, former district presidents, her home club Inner Wheel Udhampur, all the club presidents, members and committees for their unwavering support.
