REASI: Police Station Katra apprehended two drug peddlers at PCP Nomain and recovered a significant quantity of heroin-like substance from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Hardeep Singh, son of Mal Man, resident of Chamyaral, Katra and Jagdish Chander, son of Ishar Dass of Aghar Jitto, Katra.

Upon their interception and subsequent frisking, the police team recovered approximately 7.15 grams of heroin like substance. The contraband was seized on the spot as per legal procedure and both individuals were taken into custody.

In this connection, an FIR has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation is underway to ascertain the backward and forward linkages of the drug network.

The entire operation was conducted by Police team, led by SHO Katra, Khyatimaan Khajuria, under the supervision of SDPO Katra Dr Bhishm Dubey.
