Inclement weather: Schools closed in Ramban

RAMBAN: In view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions, the authorities in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district on Wednesday announced the closure of all government and private schools for today in the educational zones of Banihal, Khari, Ukhral, and Gool, officials confirmed.

However, as per the officials, "the educational institutions falling under education zone Batote and Ramban shall function as per routine."

The officials said the decision has been taken as a "precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students."

An official confirmed that "In view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions due to heavy rainfall, and as per the directions issued by the District Administration Ramban, all Government and Private Educational Institutions in Zones Banihal, Khari, Ukhral, and Gool shall remain closed today on 23-07-2025 (Wednesday) as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students."

"However, the educational institutions falling under Education Zone Batote and Ramban shall function as per routine," he added.
