U-17 Boys shine in Volleyball, Kho-Kho on day 8 of Inter-Zonal District Level Tournament at Doda

DODA: The 8th day of the second phase of the Inter-Zonal District Level Tournament witnessed spirited performances by under-17 boys in Volleyball and Kho-Kho competitions held at Government Degree College Grounds and City Middle School Grounds Doda.

A total of 240 participants from 10 zones of the district showcased remarkable enthusiasm, athleticism, and teamwork, turning the day into a vibrant celebration of youth sports and competitive spirit.

The event is being organized on the directions of Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K UT, Anuradha Gupta and Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, under the guidance of Joint Director Jammu, Vinakshi Koul and the overall supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer (DYSSO) Jaffar Haider Sheikh.

In the Kho-Kho event, Zone Doda edged past Zone Bhalla by 2 points, while in Volleyball, Zone Bhaderwah defeated Zone Bhalla by 2-1 sets in a closely contested match.

The matches were officiated by a dedicated panel of experts, including PELs, PEMs, PETs, REK Physical Education Teachers, ground staff, and NYCs, ensuring fair play and smooth conduct of the tournament.

The Inter-Zonal District Level Tournament continues to serve as a dynamic platform for promoting physical fitness, discipline, and sportsmanship, while nurturing young talent and encouraging unity across zones of the district.
