PULWAMA: District Administration Pulwama, in collaboration with the Social Welfare department and Education department, today continued its school-level outreach activities under the ongoing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign of the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
Awareness programmes were organised in various government and private schools across the district with active participation from students, teachers, and officials from the Education, Health, and Social Welfare departments.
During the sessions, resource persons highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse and its impact on individuals, families, and society. Students were encouraged to make healthy lifestyle choices and to play a positive role in promoting awareness within their schools and communities.
Medical experts and counsellors informed students about early warning signs of substance use and available support systems for those in need. Students also took a pledge to stay away from drugs and help spread the message of prevention among their peers.
Informational material such as posters and pamphlets was distributed to help reinforce the message of the campaign. The outreach will continue in the coming days to cover more educational institutions across the district.
