MV International School wins Sports Excellence Award

JAMMU: MV International School, Samba, has been awarded the "Excellence in Sports in District Samba" by South African cricket legend Jonty Rhodes.

The award was presented at the Icons of Leadership & Excellence Awards 2025 held in New Delhi.

School Director Gourav Abrol received the award, which recognizes MV International School's outstanding sports infrastructure, training facilities and commitment to nurturing young athletes. The school has consistently produced students who have participated at the state and national levels, highlighting its focus on both academics and co-curricular development.

Speaking at the event, Jonty Rhodes said, "It's inspiring to see an institution like MV International School from Jammu & Kashmir creating an environment where young athletes can truly thrive."

The event was attended by education leaders and sports personalities, all of whom praised MVIS for its vision and excellence in sports education. Director Gourav Abrol expressed gratitude for the honour, stating, "This award reflects our mission to provide balanced education that includes physical development alongside academics."

This is the 17th award won by MV International School, reinforcing its status as a leading institution for academic and sports excellence in the region.
