DC Ramban participates in National Congress on Entomology and Emerging Agrotechnologies at Sanasar

RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, participated in the 3-Day National Congress on Entomology and Emerging Agrotechnologies (NCEEA-2025) held from June 27 to 29 at Sanasar. The event was organized by the Entomological Science Academy (ESA) in collaboration with SKUAST Jammu and HIT Jammu.

The 2nd day session was graced by eminent personalities from the field of agricultural sciences, including Director Research Dr. S.K. Gupta, Ex-Dean Dr. R.M. Bhagat, Head and President, ESA (Division of Entomology) Dr. R.K. Gupta, along with several senior scientists and subject matter experts.

The congress brought together scientists, researchers, and experts to discuss advancements in entomology and modern agrotechnologies aimed at sustainable farming and pest management.

The DC highlighted the importance of adopting scientific innovations in agriculture, particularly for hilly regions like Ramban. He stressed the need for collaboration between research institutions and farmers to boost productivity and income.

The event featured technical sessions on pest management, climate-smart agriculture, precision farming, and eco-friendly technologies to improve crop resilience and sustainability.

The DC encouraged scientists and institutions to extend the benefits of their research to farmers in Ramban through capacity-building programs, demonstrations, and field training for better implementation of sustainable agricultural practices.
