Mission YUVA: Live streaming of launch ceremony held across Kathua
Rekha Rani shares swift onboarding experience under Mission YUVA during CM's virtual interaction

KATHUA: The launch of Mission YUVA, an ambitious self-employment and entrepreneurship initiative of the Jammu and Kashmir Government, was live-streamed today from SKICC Srinagar at the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex Kathua in the presence of senior district officers, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
The live event was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Kathua Surinder Mohan, Deputy Director Employment and Counselling Centre Harvinder Singh, Assistant Labour Commissioner Piyusha Khajuria, District Social Welfare Officer Varun Chaudhary, and other officers from stakeholder departments. A large number of registered beneficiaries and youth also participated.
During the live interaction, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah engaged virtually with entrepreneurs from various districts including Rekha Rani from Kathua. She shared her experience of registering under Mission YUVA and explained how she swiftly applied for the scheme through the District Employment and Counselling Centre Kathua. Her Detailed Project Report was prepared in record time for setting up a Manyari (general store) shop with active support from the department.
She expressed gratitude to the UT Government for launching such youth-centric schemes that ensure ease of access, timely support, and continuous handholding.
District officers reiterated their commitment to extend full support to eligible youth under the scheme and encouraged them to take advantage of the opportunities being made available to build a self-reliant and economically active future.
An Information and Help Desk was also set up at the venue to assist youth with Mission YUVA app registration and address any scheme-related queries.
Similar live streaming sessions of the launch ceremony were also held at designated venues in Basohli, Billawar, Bani, and Hiranagar sub-divisions to ensure wide participation across the district.
